On the sidelines of the BIG Tech Africa 2025 forum, the Ottawa Black Business Alliance (OBBA) was received by Mr. Jalel Tebib, Director General of FIPA-Tunisia, the national investment promotion agency.
This meeting aimed to showcase Tunisia as a strategic gateway to Africa for Canadian investors. Discussions centered on Tunisia’s competitive advantages, favorable investment climate, and government incentives designed to attract international capital.
OBBA used the opportunity to present its initiatives in inclusive economic development and expressed its interest in partnering with FIPA to build projects in technology, sustainable development, and circular economy sectors.
“Africa is the growth market of tomorrow, and Tunisia can serve as a privileged entry point for entrepreneurs in our network. We see a real opportunity to build strong partnerships based on innovation and complementarity,” said OBBA President Luc Thermonvil.
The dialogue concluded with an invitation from FIPA for OBBA and its partners to join Tunisia’s upcoming flagship economic events, opening the door for deeper collaboration.
